LOCALS GET CHINSALI AND NAKONDE TOLL GATE JOBS

The National Road Fund Agency has expressed appreciation to the Muchinga Provincial Administration for leading a provincial recruitment process for Toll Collectors at the soon to be opened Chinsali and Nakonde Toll Gates on the Great North Road.

NRFA Public Relations Manager Alphonsius Hamachila has disclosed that the Agency had a decentralised recruitment policy, which ensured that qualified local people were given first priority in areas where the Agency opened new Toll Gates.

Speaking when he paid a courtesy call on the Acting Permanent Secretary for Muchinga Province Mr
Brian Sichinda in Chinsali today, Mr. Hamachila said 32 members of staff have since been recruited in an open, fair, and transparent process.

He said the recruitment process has not only demonstrated efficiency and accountability, but it has also reinforced confidence in the systems put in place to ensure fairness and equal opportunity for all.

And Mr Sichinda acknowledged that the recruitment process was merit-based and conducted in a fair, professional, and transparent manner.

He said that as stakeholders, the province remained committed to supporting such initiatives that promote inclusivity, integrity, and national development.

He urged all successful candidates to carry out their responsibilities with diligence and dedication to duty.

Construction of the Toll Gates have since been completed and Road Tolling will commence on 1st September 2025.
