How it works

1. Buy a card (sold at a nominal K30).
2. Top up the card with any amount at toll gates, designated selling points, or via mobile money and electronic bank transfer.
3. Tap at the toll plaza — fare is deducted from the card or your pool account.
4. Receive SMS notifications for each transaction; download reports for reconciliation and fleet control.

Account types — choose what fits your operations

Corporate (Pool) Account
All cards draw from a single central balance. Ideal for companies with many vehicles: as long as the pool has value, any linked card can pay tolls anywhere.

Retail (Pool) Account
Individual card balances are controlled separately. A designated operator in your organisation must allocate value to specific cards — suitable for tighter control but requires active monitoring to avoid vehicles getting stuck with zero balance.

Discounts

Frequent users benefit: after 10 passages in one month at the same toll station, Class A and Class B vehicles qualify for reduced toll rates K20 (Class A) and K40 (Class B).

Local user discount is also applicable (Users residing within a 10KM radius of the toll gate)

E-toll Cards are available at:

• NRFA Head Office: Plot No. 33, Ridgeway, Lusaka, and
• All NRFA Toll gates, Kapiri-Mposhi and Kafulafuta weighbridges and official NRFA Merchants.
  Top up at all NRFA toll plazas, or via mobile money or electronic bank transfer to the account details provided.

Account setup & KYC

Complete the Know Your Customer (KYC) form (available at selling points or downloadable from the specified page). Provide contact details for the staff member who will manage your fleet account, this is the person who will receive SMS notifications and account correspondence.
