The National Road Fund Agency (NRFA) recently took part in the 9th ZUFIAW Annual Sports Festival held at the Olympic Youth Development Centre in Lusaka.
Over 24 institutions participated at this year’s festival which was running under the theme “Embracing Diversity and Inclusion of a Health and Productivity Workforce”.
The aim of the two-day sports festival was to promote mental and physical health of workers thereby creating a productive workforce.
Team NRFA participated in various sports disciplines including Football, Netball, Pool, Chess, Track and Field, The games allowed the team to showcase their commitment to promoting physical fitness and a healthy work environment among their staff.
NRFA exhibited tremendous teamwork that saw the team to scoop the first positions in Volleyball, Chase and Tug of War while emerging second in the Track and Field and third in 400meters.
The Volleyball team proved to be too strong for the opponents First Capital Bank who they beat after winning three of the best of five. Team NRFA showed amazing resilience and team work to stump their authority over their opponents.
In Chess NRFA’s Joseph Makoba outwitted his opponent from Absa. In Tug of War, NRFA overpowered Barclays Bank whom they condemned to second position.
